Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Introduction
Dicy ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Dicy mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.
By using Dicy, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you use Apple Sign In, your Apple ID identifier. We do not store your password directly; authentication is handled securely through Supabase and Apple.
App Usage Data
We store your app restriction preferences, dice configurations, and daily roll results to provide the core functionality of Dicy. This data is linked to your account.
Screen Time Data
Dicy uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to manage app restrictions on your device. All Screen Time data is processed entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any Screen Time usage data on our servers.
Subscription Information
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We receive information about your subscription status (active/expired) but do not have access to your payment details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Manage your account and preferences
- Sync your data across devices via cloud backup
- Send push notifications related to your screen time (if enabled)
- Process and manage subscriptions
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored securely on Supabase servers with row-level security policies. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Screen Time data remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only with:
- Supabase — for secure data storage and authentication
- RevenueCat — for subscription management
- Apple — for authentication (Sign in with Apple) and in-app purchases
- Meta/Facebook — for analytics and advertising measurement (via Facebook SDK, subject to your tracking preferences)
These services process data solely to provide their functionality and are bound by their own privacy policies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, apps, roll history) is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time
To exercise these rights, use the "Delete Account" option in the App or contact us at the email below.
8. Children's Privacy
Dicy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
